Getting to Kuala Lumpur (pt 1)

• We began out journey to the airport around 4.45am in Monday the 16th of July. Mark, Calums dad, was kind enough to take us . We arrived at Heathrow airport about 2 and a half hours later and had an English breakfast with Mark in the airport. Around half 8 it was time for uss to say goodbye to Mark and make our way to check in. Because of our flight itinerary and technically not having a flight out of Malaysia we had a few troubles at check in .But eventually we sent off our big ol rucksack and made our way through security. Naturally, I set the alarms off and Calum sailed through with ease. We then had about 40 minutes to spare until our flight boarded so we had a little look in the duty free and got some puzzle books from wh smith to keep us busy on our 6 and a half hour flight. We then went to our gate to wait for boarding. At about 10am we got to board the plane. It was absolutely huge. Calum kept laughing at me because I was so amazed by it .We had wide seats and loads of leg room .Also a cool touch screen tv which had tv shows , films, games and more. I decided to watch the new jumanji film whilst Calum played endless games of back Gannon. It was a pretty uneventful  flight, with a lunch of Thai red curry which was served about 1pm .  Didn't look like much but it was actually pretty tasty. I was sat next to some guy who must have been a nervous flyer because he grabbed the seat in front when we hit even the slightest bump. Whilst Calum got to chill in the window seat . Calum slept for a few hours o n the flight .I barely slept at all. But after a 6 and a half hour flight we finally landed in Qatar airport. Which  was  insane .Absolutely massive . We had 13 hours to kill before our next flight so we wandered round a bit then say down to have some ramen for dinner. Which was really tasty .We did have the option of a city tour from our flight company but we decided not to go as it was night time and dark outside so we doubted that we would see much. Eventually we found some comfy seats and I laid my head down in cals lap and had a nap. He eventually slept a little too. caption
